Job Description – Clinical Psychologist
Project: NAPDDR Scheme
Locations: Central Jails at Ferozepur, Faridkot, Bathinda, Amritsar & Sri Gowinwal Sahib, Punjab
Number of Posts: 06
Remuneration: ₹50,000/- per month
Educational Qualification
- M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from an RCI-recognized institute.
- Valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) Number issued by RCI.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessment and counselling of inmates.
- Provide individual and group therapy for mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Support de-addiction, rehabilitation, and behavioural management programs under NAPDDR.
- Handle crisis intervention, stress management, suicide prevention, and emotional support cases.
- Maintain case records, assessment reports, and progress documentation.
- Coordinate with Jail Authorities, Medical Officers, Psychiatrists, and rehabilitation teams.
- Conduct awareness sessions on mental health, drug abuse prevention, and rehabilitation.
- Ensure confidentiality, ethical practices, and compliance with RCI and departmental guidelines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in mental health, de-addiction, counselling, rehabilitation, or correctional institutions shall be preferred.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
