Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design & Estimation Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for project coordination, estimation, technical documentation, ERP updates, and preparation of design drawings related to firefighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update project information, progress status, and comments in the ERP system.
- Monitor pending tasks and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Handle project-related email communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with different departments for smooth project execution.
- Follow up with suppliers for quotations, technical details, and material availability.
- Review tender documents to understand project scope, specifications, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQ, and cost estimates for firefighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems.
- Compile and submit project quotations using supplier pricing and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support to site teams and resolve design-related queries.
- Verify materials compliance with project specifications and approval requirements.
- Prepare shop drawings using AutoCAD based on project requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and are ready for submission.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire & Safety Engineering or related field.
- Experience in design and estimation works related to fire protection systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.
