Role Overview:
The Chief of Sales will be responsible for driving the company’s overall sales strategy, revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition across domestic and international markets. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, team management, and deep understanding of industrial sales within the machine manufacturing / SPM / automation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with business goals.
Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition, key account management, and market expansion.
Identify emerging market opportunities, customer trends, and competitive positioning.
Build strong relationships with OEMs, EPCs, distributors, and strategic customers.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor regional sales managers, sales engineers, and business development teams.
Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance management systems.
Drive a high-performance sales culture with strong accountability and ownership.
Support hiring, training, and capability development of the sales organization.
Commercial & Customer Management
Lead techno-commercial negotiations for strategic projects and high-value orders.
Ensure strong customer engagement and long-term relationship management.
Oversee pricing strategy, contract management, and sales forecasting.
Collaborate with application, design, operations, and service teams for project execution.
Business Planning & Reporting
Prepare sales forecasts, business plans, budgets, and MIS reports for management review.
Monitor sales performance, profitability, order pipeline, and collections.
Drive data-based decision-making using sales analytics and market intelligence.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and strategic business development capabilities.
Proven expertise in B2B industrial / capital equipment sales.
Strong understanding of machine manufacturing, SPMs, automation, or engineering solutions.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer relationship skills.
Ability to drive organizational growth and market expansion.
Strong analytical and business planning skills.
Qualifications:
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics
20+ years of experience in industrial sales/business development.
Minimum 10–12 years in senior leadership / regional / national sales management roles.
Experience handling domestic and/or international markets preferred.
