Location: Concrete/RMC Plant & Project Sites
Reporting To: Dispatch Supervisor / Plant Manager
Job Summary
The Concrete Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating the transit mixer/concrete truck to transport fresh concrete from the RMC plant to the designated project site and ensure timely delivery without compromising the quality of concrete.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the transit mixer/concrete truck from the plant to project sites.
- Collect fresh concrete from the batching plant as per dispatch instructions.
- Ensure concrete is delivered to the correct project/site location within the required time.
- Operate the mixer drum during transportation as per company procedures.
- Follow the assigned delivery route and comply with traffic rules.
- Check the vehicle before starting each trip, including brakes, tyres, lights, fuel, and other basic components.
- Report any vehicle breakdown, accident, damage, or mechanical issue immediately.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of concrete.
- Follow instructions regarding mixing, discharge, and return of residual concrete.
- Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition.
- Complete trip sheets, delivery challans, and other required vehicle records.
- Coordinate with the Plant/Dispatch team and site personnel.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE at plant and project sites.
- Ensure safe parking and operation of the vehicle at the project site.
- Maintain professional behaviour with customers, site staff, and other employees.
Qualification
- 8th / 10th Pass preferred.
- Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV/HGV) driving licence as applicable.
- Valid documents required for operating the vehicle.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle / Transit Mixer Driver preferred.
- Experience in RMC, construction, or concrete transportation is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good driving and vehicle-handling skills.
- Knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to operate a transit mixer safely.
- Good discipline and punctuality.
- Ability to follow dispatch and site instructions.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor conditions.
- Willingness to work in shifts and extended hours when required.

- Safe transportation and delivery of concrete.
- Timely delivery as per dispatch schedule.
- Proper operation and care of the transit mixer.
- Minimum vehicle downtime.
- Compliance with traffic and plant safety rules.
