About the Role
The Senior Program Coordinator – FLN Expert will provide technical leadership for Kalike's Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) programme across the assigned districts. The role is responsible for strengthening the quality of FLN implementation by Supporting Program Coordinators, building the capacity of teachers and education functionaries, supporting government systems, monitoring programme quality, and ensuring children achieve foundational learning outcomes. The position also supports programme planning, documentation, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance on FLN pedagogy, NIPUN Bharat, activity-based learning, and child-centred classroom practices.
- Ensure quality implementation of FLN interventions across assigned districts and schools.
- Develop implementation strategies, academic plans, and resource materials aligned with programme objectives.
- Support integration of experiential learning approaches into FLN classrooms.
Programme Management
- Lead and monitor implementation of FLN activities across multiple blocks and districts.
- Mentor and supervise Program Coordinators through regular field visits and review meetings.
- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly implementation plans.
- Ensure timely execution of programme milestones and deliverables.
Capacity Building
- Design and facilitate district-level, block-level, cluster-level, and school-level training programmes for teachers, Head Teachers, Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), Block Resource Persons (BRPs), and education officials.
- Develop training modules, facilitator guides, and teaching-learning resources.
- Organize demonstration classes, academic workshops, refresher trainings, and exposure visits.
- Build the facilitation and mentoring capacities of Program Coordinators.
Academic Support & Classroom Quality
- Conduct classroom observations using quality observation tools.
- Provide academic feedback to teachers and field teams to improve classroom practices.
- Support teachers in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and effective use of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs).
- Promote inclusive, joyful, and competency-based learning environments.
Monitoring, Assessment & Documentation
- Develop and implement academic monitoring frameworks.
- Review school visit reports and provide actionable feedback.
- Analyse assessment data to identify learning gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual programme reports.
- Document best practices, innovations, case studies, and success stories.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with the Department of School Education, CRP’s and BRP’s
- Represent the organisation in district and state-level academic meetings.
- Support convergence with government initiatives related to FLN.
- Strengthen partnerships with schools, SDMCs, and community institutions.
Innovation & Resource Development
- Design FLN Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs), assessment tools, workbooks, and academic resources.
- Introduce innovative classroom practices based on evidence and field observations.
- Support action research, pilot initiatives, and programme improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or M.Ed. is preferred.
- Additional certification in FLN, Early Childhood Education, or Teacher Education is desirable.
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in education programmes, with significant experience in FLN, teacher professional development, or academic leadership.
- Proven experience designing and facilitating large-scale teacher training programmes.
- Experience mentoring field teams and coordinating multi-location education projects.
- Experience working with government education systems and development organisations is highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong expertise in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).
- Excellent training, facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Strong understanding of competency-based education and child-centred pedagogy.
- Excellent programme planning, monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in Kannada and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office, digital reporting platforms, and data collection tools such as Kobo.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government officials and diverse stakeholders.

- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned blocks and Districts
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence.
- Strong commitment to improving foundational learning outcomes for children.
- Ability to work independently while leading and mentoring field teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
