About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, API development, database integration, and building scalable applications.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, experience working with production-grade applications, and the ability to independently design, develop, debug, and optimize backend systems.
Experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, security products, data-intensive applications, or SaaS platforms will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL / Microsoft SQL Server / MongoDB.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, logging, error handling, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.
- Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Develop background jobs, scheduled tasks, and data-processing workflows where required.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing.
Required Technical Skills
Python
- Strong proficiency in Python 3.x.
- Excellent understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, exception handling, and Python best practices.
- Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
API & Backend
- Strong experience developing REST APIs.
- Understanding of API authentication and authorization.
- Experience with JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, API integrations, and asynchronous programming.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture is an advantage.
Database
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus.
- Understanding of query optimization, indexing, and database design.
Development & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
- Understanding of Docker.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
Good to Have
- Cybersecurity product development experience.
- Experience working with large datasets or data-processing pipelines.
- Knowledge of Redis, Celery, Kafka/RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based applications.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP principles.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
