Qualification Bachelor's / Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience 7–10 years in a hospital billing environment (Hospital background mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end daily billing operations across OPD, IPD, Emergency, and Daycare departments
- Ensure accurate charge capture, claim generation, timely submission, and follow-up with insurance companies and TPAs
- Monitor and supervise billing team workflows to minimise errors, rejections, and payment delays
- Lead, mentor, and manage the billing team — setting KPIs, reviewing performance, and handling escalations
- Liaise with clinical, operations, and finance departments to resolve billing queries and discrepancies
- Manage TPA/insurance empanelment documentation, pre-authorisations, and claims reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with CGHS, ECHS, Mediclaim, and other insurance/government billing protocols
- Prepare billing MIS reports and present revenue summaries and outstanding collections to management
- Conduct periodic internal audits of billing records and maintain complete documentation
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase billing efficiency and revenue recovery
Skills Required: Hospital billing software, TPA & insurance claim processing, Advanced Excel, PPT, Word. Team leadership, knowledge of ICD/CPT coding would be and additonal advantage.
