Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal quality audits and support external/customer audits.
- Analyze quality data and prepare reports on defects, rework, and process performance.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (automotive), or AS9100 (aerospace), depending on the industry.
- Coordinate with production, design, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS).
- Knowledge of quality tools such as:
- 7 QC Tools
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and height gauges.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and quality reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in manufacturing or quality engineering is often preferred.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor are an advantage.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
