Core responsibilities
Technical support: Provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and resolve connectivity issues.
System maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and application software. This includes performing regular upgrades and patches.
Security management: Implement and maintain security protocols, monitor systems for threats, manage firewalls, and perform security tests.
User administration: Create, modify, and delete user accounts, and manage user permissions and access to systems and data.
Data management: Perform regular data backups, manage archives, and ensure data integrity and recovery processes are in place.
Network administration: Maintain and monitor network performance, and manage network equipment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all IT processes, systems, and procedures.
Strategic planning: Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement new technologies to improve company systems.
