Designation : Quality Inspector / Quality Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and quality-focused professional for the position of Quality Inspector / Quality Manager** with a strong background in fabrication, sheet metal, pipe bending, and structural manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, in-process fabrication, welding operations, and finished products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Inspection & Control
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated components.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections during cutting, punching, CNC bending, pipe bending, welding, and assembly operations.
- Verify product conformity against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to quality plans, inspection procedures, and customer requirements.
- Welding Quality Assurance
- Inspect welds produced through Laser Welding, TIG Welding, and CO₂ Welding processes.
- Identify and evaluate welding defects such as porosity, undercut, lack of penetration, cracks, spatter, and distortion.
- Ensure compliance with applicable welding standards and acceptance criteria.
- Drawing Interpretation & Measurement
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GD&T requirements, and welding symbols.
Utilize precision measuring instruments including:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bevel Protractor
- Dial Indicators
- Inspection Jigs & Fixtures
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Inspection or Quality Management within:
- Sheet Metal Fabrication
- Pipe Bending
- Structural Fabrication
- Heavy or Light Engineering Manufacturing
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and welding inspection.
- Understanding of bending allowances, springback, pipe deformation, wrinkling, and flattening limits.
- Knowledge of welding defects, quality standards, and inspection methods.
- Exposure to ISO 5817, AWS standards, or equivalent quality systems will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage shop-floor quality activities and interact effectively with production teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in fabrication and welding-intensive manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to NDT methods such as DPT, PT, or VT.
- Experience handling customer inspections and quality audits.

Pay: ₹33,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
