Design Engineer
Job Summary:
A Design Engineer is responsible for developing, modifying, and improving product designs and engineering solutions based on customer requirements and industry standards. The role involves creating technical drawings, ensuring product feasibility, and supporting manufacturing and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop engineering designs, drawings, and specifications
- Create 2D/3D models using CAD software
- Coordinate with production, quality, and project teams for design implementation
- Analyze product requirements and technical feasibility
- Modify existing designs based on client or production requirements
- Ensure designs comply with safety and industry standards
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation
- Support troubleshooting and design improvement activities
- Participate in project review meetings and technical discussions
- Monitor design progress to meet project timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field
- 1–5 years of experience in design engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or other CAD software
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial projects
- Knowledge of GD&T and design standards
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project coordination
