The Institute of Manufacturing and Economy (IME) at Ahmedabad University is envisioned as a premier interdisciplinary center advancing research, policy, innovation, and industry engagement at the intersection of manufacturing, technology, sustainability, and economic development. IME aims to serve as a bridge between academia, industry, and government—driving thought leadership and actionable solutions for India’s evolving manufacturing ecosystem.
The Institute of Manufacturing and Economy at Ahmedabad University invites applications for Post-Doctoral Fellows. This is an opportunity to contribute to a new, interdisciplinary institute focused on advancing research and policy at the intersection of manufacturing, innovation, and economic development.
Eligibility: Candidates who have recently completed a PhD in Economics, Operations Management, Statistics, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Applicants with a PhD in Engineering may also be considered, provided they demonstrate a strong interest in manufacturing policy and its societal impact.
Research Focus: Applicants should have demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas: Innovation, Industrial Policy, Manufacturing Systems, Technology, Data Science, and Data Visualisation.
Role: The Fellow will engage in high-quality research, contribute to policy-relevant insights, and collaborate across disciplines to support the Institute’s research and outreach agenda.
