- A degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills, and very well experience in fabrication field
- Support & actively interact with manufacturing operations group
- Support and implement GM Global Manufacturing System (GMS) Principles
- Design CAD parts and assemblies to represent existing parts or new designs
- Work closely with machinists and fabricators to find solutions even when all parts don’t exist in CAD
- Ability to troubleshoot a diverse set of fabrication equipment in addition to establishing equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures
- Knowledge on large fabrication fixture design and feasibility studies
- Experience on Fixture maintenance and calibration
- Ability to support producibility analysis for integration and assembly activities for manufactured “piece parts” and tooling
- Must be able to work with operators to ensure work instructions for processes are accurate and adequate to yield high quality products
