Schematic Capture: Design electrical schematics using flat or hierarchical methodologies, manage parts libraries, and create component symbols.PCB Layout & Routing: Perform component placement and manual or autorouting for multi-layer, high-speed digital, analog, or mixed-signal boards.Gerber & Manufacturing (CAM) Files: Generate final production-ready Gerber files, drill files, BOMs, and centroid (Pick & Place) data.Design Validation: Conduct Design Rule Checks (DRC), Electrical Rule Checks (ERC), and simulations to maintain Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI).Manufacturability (DFM/DFT): Optimize layouts for fabrication, assembly, and testing while following industry standards (e.g., IPC-2221, IPC-7351).Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Hardware and Firmware engineers during board bring-up, testing, and debugging.Documentation: Create assembly drawings, fabrication notes, and revision control records.
