Lab Technician/
A. Lab Dyeing / Lab Dip
- Prepare lab dips as per customer requirements and approved standards.
- Follow approved dyeing recipes accurately.
- Conduct sample dyeing using laboratory equipment.
- Maintain correct dye, chemical, temperature, time and process parameters.
- Develop and submit lab dips for shade approval.
- Maintain proper records of all lab-dip trials.
B. Shade Matching
- Compare dyed samples with the customer standard / approved sample.
- Identify shade differences such as:
- Lighter / darker
- Redder / greener
- Yellower / bluer
- Duller / brighter
- Make recipe corrections based on test results and approval requirements.
- Ensure approved shade standards are properly identified and maintained.
C. Production Recipe Preparation
- Prepare production dyeing recipes based on the approved lab-dip recipe.
- Verify dye and chemical quantities before releasing the recipe.
- Ensure proper conversion from laboratory quantity to production batch quantity.
- Coordinate with the Dyeing Supervisor and Production Team before batch processing.
D. Colour Testing
- Operate colour-matching/testing equipment such as a spectrophotometer, where available.
- Check colour difference values such as ΔE according to company/customer standards.
- Maintain calibration and cleanliness of laboratory instruments.
- Record all test results properly.
E. Quality Control
- Check samples at different stages of the dyeing process.
- Identify shade variation and quality problems at an early stage.
- Support investigation of reprocessing and rejection batches.
- Coordinate with Quality and Dyeing teams for corrective action.
F. Chemical & Dye Management
- Maintain proper laboratory stock of dyes and chemicals.
- Ensure correct labeling and identification.
- Follow SDS/MSDS requirements.
- Handle chemicals using required PPE.
- Prevent contamination and cross-mixing of dyes/chemicals.
G. Documentation
Maintain:
- Lab-dip register
- Recipe register
- Shade approval records
- Customer standard/sample records
- Chemical and dye consumption records
- Re-dye/reprocess records
- Testing and calibration records
- Daily laboratory activity report
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹32,563.62 per month
