A Billing and Sales Representative manages the end-to-end customer transaction process, combining sales support with financial accountability. Key responsibilities include generating, sending, and managing accurate invoices, resolving billing inquiries, processing payments, and boosting sales through customer service, product demonstrations, and managing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing & Invoicing: Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices to clients. Update client records with new charges or payments.
- Customer Support & Sales: Act as the first point of contact, answering customer queries, explaining product features, and driving sales through upsells or product recommendations.
- Payment Collection & Discrepancies: Monitor accounts for delayed payments, send reminders, and resolve billing disputes/errors efficiently.
- System Maintenance: Utilize billing software and tools to maintain up-to-date customer data.
- Reporting: Generate daily or monthly reports regarding sales and financial transactions.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, sales, or billing roles is preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to handle customer interactions and complaints professionally.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with CRM or billing software.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in handling numeric data and financial records.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
