Role
The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Design & Development: Develop mechanical designs and detailed 3D models using CAD software (Solid Edge, Catia, etc.).
2. Concept Design: Create innovative design concepts to meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
3. Technical Documentation: Prepare BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications for manufacturing.
4. DFMEA & Analysis: Conduct design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) and perform structural and tolerance analysis.
5. BOP Selection: Assist in selecting and validating the best BOP components for system compatibility.
6. Design Review & Approvals: Collaborate with internal teams and customers to finalize design approvals.
7. Cost Optimization: Ensure cost-effective design solutions while maintaining quality and functionality.
8. Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with production, procurement, and quality teams for seamless execution.
9. Industry Trends & Best Practices: Stay updated on the latest design and automation trends.
10. Project Timelines: Ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-8 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automation, SPM, Conveyor or assembly industries.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Solid Edge.
