About PARQIS
PARQIS is India's only video-first curated marketplace connecting Gen Z and millennial consumers with verified Indian brands. The platform enables a seamless journey from content discovery to purchase, all within a single, engaging experience. As a growing startup, PARQIS works closely with brands to deliver authentic and high-quality products, with a strong focus on innovation and user engagement.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a sharp, business-minded Category Management Intern to help shape and grow PARQIS's brand and product portfolio. This role offers hands-on experience in curating categories, evaluating brand partners, and driving the commercial side of a content-meets-commerce platform.
The Mission
Category is the backbone of the marketplace — the right brands, the right pricing, the right assortment. Your goal is to help build a catalog that feels curated, not commoditized, while keeping the commercial engine (margins, payouts, stock, pricing) running smoothly behind it.
What You'll Do
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new brand partners across priority categories
- Analyze sales, margin, and catalog performance data to spot gaps and opportunities
- Support pricing, discounting, and promotional strategy for category growth
- Coordinate with brand partners on catalog listings, stock availability, and content needs
- Work closely with the tech team on the brand partner dashboard (earnings, transactions, payouts) to ensure category data is accurate and actionable
- Track competitor assortments and pricing to keep PARQIS's offering sharp and differentiated
- Assist in preparing category performance reports and partner-facing decks
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable in spreadsheets, basic data analysis, and drawing insights from numbers
- Interest in e-commerce, retail, or D2C brand ecosystems
- Clear communicator, able to coordinate with brand partners and internal teams
- Structured, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple categories/brands at once
- Bonus: prior exposure to marketplace operations, vendor management, or category analytics
Who You Are
- A student or recent graduate with strong analytical and communication skills — degree background is open
- Genuine interest in consumer brands, retail trends, and D2C
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with basic data tools is a plus
- Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced startup environment
- Bonus: experience with vendor onboarding, pricing strategy, or catalog/assortment planning
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on experience shaping category strategy on a real consumer marketplace
- Direct exposure to brand partnerships and commercial decision-making in a startup
- Opportunity to contribute to live catalog and pricing decisions
- Certificate of completion and PPO opportunity based on performance
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Work from home
Work Location: Remote
