JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting To:
Regional Sales Manager
The Medical Representative shall be responsible for promoting and generating prescriptions for La Med India products by developing and maintaining professional relationships with doctors, dermatologists, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, chemists, stockists, and other healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.
The role requires effective product promotion, market development, prescription generation, territory management, and achievement of sales objectives while maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Doctor Coverage & Relationship Management
- Conduct regular visits to doctors, specialists, dermatologists, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.
- Promote Company products through scientific detailing and product presentations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Generate product awareness and encourage prescription support for Company products.
- Obtain feedback regarding products, competitor activities, and market trends.
Business Development
- Identify and develop new doctors, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and healthcare institutions.
- Support the onboarding of new prescribing doctors and healthcare partners.
- Expand the Company's presence within the assigned territory.
- Assist in organizing medical camps, CMEs, awareness programs, and promotional activities.
Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by Management.
- Ensure product availability through coordination with distributors, stockists, and retailers.
- Monitor secondary sales and prescription trends.
- Maximize business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit Daily Call Reports (DCR), Monthly Tour Programs (MTP), expense statements, and other reports as required.
- Maintain accurate records of doctor calls, customer interactions, sales activities, and market information.
- Update CRM and reporting systems as prescribed by the Company.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, and market activities.
- Provide timely market feedback and business intelligence to Management.
- Identify opportunities for product growth and territory expansion.
Compliance & Professional Conduct
- Comply with all Company policies, SOPs, and reporting requirements.
- Protect confidential Company information, doctor databases, customer records, and business data.
- Maintain professional appearance, ethical conduct, and positive representation of the Company at all times.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmaceutical industry guidelines and Company standards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of doctor calls per day.
- Number of productive calls.
- Prescription generation and conversion.
- Sales target achievement.
- Territory coverage.
- New doctor additions.
- Chemist and stockist engagement.
- Reporting accuracy and timeliness.
- Customer relationship quality.
Qualification
- Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related disciplines preferred.
- Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.

In addition to fixed salary, Medical Representatives may be eligible for performance-based incentives linked to:
