Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Transportation Manager to lead and manage transportation operations across our campuses/locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficient route planning, fleet maintenance, driver supervision, and compliance with transport regulations—ensuring smooth and safe daily transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet & Vehicle Maintenance
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all vehicles
- Maintain records of servicing, repairs, and inspections
- Ensure vehicle fitness, insurance, pollution certificates, and registration are up-to-date
Driver Hiring & Management
- Manage recruitment and onboarding of drivers
- Monitor driver performance, scheduling, training, and compliance
- Ensure drivers follow safety protocols and maintain discipline
Logistics & Route Planning
- Plan and optimize transportation routes for efficiency and fuel economy
- Coordinate daily pick-up and drop-off operations
Compliance & Legal Regulations
- Ensure adherence to all RTO and transport compliance norms
- Maintain legal documents for vehicles and drivers
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor and control transport-related expenses
- Provide monthly transport expenditure reports
Safety & Risk Management
- Implement safety standards and emergency response protocols
- Handle incident reporting and investigations
Billing & Reporting
- Oversee transport billing and coordinate with accounts
- Generate MIS reports for transport operations
Coordination with Transport Committees
- Attend and report in committee meetings
- Share insights and propose operational improvements
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Heavy Vehicle Driving License (preferred)
- Knowledge of school transportation laws, safety regulations, and routing software.
- Proficiency with MS Office and transportation management systems (e.g., routing software, GPS tracking).
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, logistics, transportation management, public administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transportation management, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Experience managing staff and working with school-aged children is a strong advantage.
- Experience in managing large institutional or corporate campuses is an added.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
