Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and converting leads, managing client and vendor relationships, preparing quotations, negotiating pricing, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate should possess strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple stakeholders professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through inbound and outbound sales activities
- Conduct cold calls and follow-ups to convert leads into confirmed bookings
- Meet sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
Client Relationship Management
- Understand client requirements and provide suitable décor and event solutions
- Present proposals, quotations, and service offerings professionally
- Conduct client meetings and negotiations to close deals
- Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the sales cycle
Vendor Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors for pricing, availability, and service requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing and service terms to achieve profitability while maintaining quality standards
- Resolve vendor-related challenges efficiently and professionally
Product & Industry Knowledge
- Possess a strong understanding of event décor materials, event setups, and industry trends
- Maintain knowledge of raw materials, costing, and vendor sourcing
- Provide recommendations and solutions based on client requirements and budget
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations, sales activities, and closures
- Prepare periodic sales reports and updates for management
- Ensure timely follow-ups and documentation throughout the sales process
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in Event Management, Event Décor, Wedding Planning, or related industries
- Strong experience in cold calling, lead generation, and sales conversion
- Good understanding of event décor products, raw materials, and vendor networks
- Excellent client handling and relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
- Patience and professionalism in handling clients and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, Google Sheets, and email communication
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
