About:
Redesign Health is building the infrastructure layer for the next generation of Indian healthcare. This is not a recruiting role with a sourcing quota. It is a market-building mandate: to architect Redesign Health's founder ecosystem in India, activate the venture platform on the ground, and make Redesign Health the go-to partner for founders at the earliest and most consequential stage of company formation.
The person in this role will sit at the intersection of investment origination, founder development, and platform strategy. They will shape how Redesign Health shows up in the Indian market, how founders experience the firm post-investment, and how the India team becomes a genuine force multiplier for the global portfolio.
What You Will Own:
Founder Origination and Pipeline Development
Build and steward a founder pipeline that is continuous, curated, and insight-driven, not reactive.- Design and execute a proprietary founder sourcing strategy that addresses early-stage healthcare formation gaps across India, drawing on Redesign Health's thesis and the India fund team's network.
- Identify, engage, and assess high-potential founders through targeted outreach, competency- based evaluation, and ecosystem positioning that reflects Redesign Health's investment thesis.
Ecosystem and Brand Architecture
Cultivate Redesign Health's presence as the premier healthcare venture platform in India: building the brand narrative with founders, startup executives, campus partners, and ecosystem institutions.- Partner with Redesign Health's Global Marketing team to develop India-specific channels and content that position the firm as the healthcare VC of choice for earliest-stage builders.
- Deliver regular pipeline intelligence and ecosystem insights to Redesign Health leadership, enabling sharper investment decisions and faster conviction.
Venture Platform and Portfolio Enablement
Serve as a trusted operator for portfolio founders navigating the India market, from hiring to partnerships to operational scale.- Function as the connective tissue between the India fund team and the global platform, ensuring India founders receive compounding support from day one of partnership.
- Programmatically build out the India platform layer for portfolio founders: vendor introductions, talent access, go-to-market support, and connections to global templates and resources already in use across Redesign Health's portfolio.
What You Bring:
The ideal candidate has operated inside venture or at the zero-to-one stage and understands what founders actually need at the earliest stages of company formation. They think like a principal, not a coordinator.
Experience- 8+ years in venture capital, 0-1 startups, or founder-facing platform roles
Market Knowledge- Deep understanding of the Indian startup ecosystem, capital markets, and cultural context.
Founder Instinct- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and build relationships with exceptional founders.
Operating Model- Comfortable running independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Communication- Exceptional written and verbal communication with founders, investors, and leadership.
Language- Fully fluent in English; working fluency in Hindi or a regional language a strong plus.
