The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and profitability of the grocery store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory and store standards, achieving sales targets, and complying with company policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:-
Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints professionally
- Maintain a customer-friendly environment
- Build customer loyalty and repeat business
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
- Ensure store cleanliness, layout, and merchandising meet company standards
- Monitor opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security
Sales & Performance
- Drive sales growth and achieve monthly and annual targets
- Analyze sales reports and take corrective actions to improve performance
- Implement promotional activities and in-store marketing initiatives
Inventory Management
- Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving, and storage of goods
- Ensure availability of fast-moving and essential grocery items
- Minimize stock loss, wastage, and expiry through proper controls
Team Management
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff
- Motivate employees and ensure high productivity and discipline
- Conduct performance reviews and handle staff issues
