Merchandiser – Export Sales (Home Furnishing Fabric)
Work Location: Electronic City Phase 1, Bangalore
Job Description:
1. Sales & Budget Planning: Prepare monthly sales projections, budget planning, and production planning forecast with PPC in discussion with Management.
2. Customer Relationship: Interacting with buyer/customer for fabric requirements on regular basis.
3. Daily Order Collection/Confirmation: Daily order tracking & collect the fabric order with specifications in detail from the buyer/customer.
4. Sampling & Development: Get the sample/modification done as per the required fabric specification in coordination with the design team and production team
5. Sampling Approval: Sending the sample fabric to the buyer/customer for approval and get the final approval.
6. Costing & confirmation of Order: Make the final costing sheet for the fabric by discussing with the buyer/customer and get confirmation.
7. Production & Planning (PPC): Collaborate with the production team on production planning and delivery timelines.
8. Billing & Invoices: Generate invoices and enter information in ERP and send it to buyers/customers.
9. Dispatch / Shipment: Ensure and follow up the dispatch of the consignment as per the order and invoices with the timeline.
10. Payments and Collection: daily follow-up with buyer/customer for payments and collections as per the TAT. Prepare agent's commission report and release the payment.
11. Customer Support: Interact with customers and address all concerns queries, and complaints, debits and claims, commission payments & Updates, delays, pricing issues, dispatch issues, etc., through a phone call, mail communication, etc.
12. MIS & Report: Pass all data entries and prepare various periodical reports to include, daily order reports, daily sales reports, daily collection reports, daily dispatch reports, GP Monthly statements, customer complaint reports, outstanding reports pending order reports, MIS reports, various data entry, bookkeeping, etc.
13. Team Management: Effective manage the team with collaboration, include mentoring, training, supporting them to perform better.
14. Miscellaneous activities: related to the department & function as per the management instruction.
ROLE: Merchandiser – Export Sales (Home Furnishing Fabric)
ACADEMICS & QUALIFICATION: Graduate/Post-Graduation / MBA – Sales and Marketing
WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 to 5 Years of Experience in Export Sales, Home Furnishing preferred.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS: Good communication - both verbal and written is a must. (English, Hindi, and Kannada), Must have knowledge of export/import protocols and process
Depth knowledge in Microsoft Excel and working experience in ERP systems.
PERSONAL SKILLS: Having the passion to learn new things quickly and being able to adapt to a challenging environment is preferred.
