Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize Wire EDM programs using Macro Wire Software.
- Read and interpret 2D drawings, DXF files, and GD&T.
- Set up and operate Wire Cut EDM machines.
- Select suitable cutting parameters based on material and thickness.
- Manufacture punches, dies, inserts, gauges, and precision tooling.
- Perform trial runs and optimize cycle time.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy within specified tolerances.
- Inspect finished components using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot wire breakage, cutting issues, and machine errors.
- Coordinate with Tool Design, Tool Room, and Production teams.
- Follow 5S, safety, and preventive maintenance practices.
Required Skills
- Expert knowledge of Macro Wire Programming.
- Experience with Wire EDM programming and machine setup.
- Good knowledge of Press Tool manufacturing.
- Understanding of Tool Steel (D2, SKD11, HCHCR, Carbide).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills.
Qualification
- ITI Machinist / Tool & Die Maker / Diploma Mechanical.
- CNC/Wire EDM Programming certification preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 Years in Wire EDM Programming.
- Experience in Sheet Metal Press Tool Industry preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
