Position: Assistant Manager – Production (Busbar)

Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head
Job Purpose
To manage and control busbar manufacturing operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, productivity, safety, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily production activities as per production schedules.
- Ensure achievement of production targets in quantity, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor busbar manufacturing processes including cutting, punching, bending, insulation, assembly, and packing.
- Optimize manpower, machine utilization, and material consumption.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
- Monitor production efficiency, rejection rates, and productivity metrics.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain production records, reports, and MIS.
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
- Train and develop shop-floor personnel for improved performance.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering
- Diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- 6–10 years in Busbar Manufacturing, Electrical Panel Industry, Copper Processing, or related manufacturing industries.
- Experience in handling production teams and shift operations.
