Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Fashion Merchandiser to bridge the gap between design concepts, production sourcing, and commercial execution. You will oversee the complete product lifecycle—from sampling and costing to vendor coordination and timely delivery—ensuring our collections meet strict quality and margin standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Sampling: Coordinate closely with the design team to translate tech packs and sketches into production-ready samples; manage fit approvals, trims, and fabric swatches.
- Costing & Negotiation: Prepare detailed BOM (Bill of Materials), calculate product costing, and negotiate competitive pricing with manufacturers, fabric mills, and accessory suppliers.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Manage relationships with garment manufacturers, track order milestones, and ensure production adheres to strict critical paths (TNA/Time & Action calendar).
- Quality Assurance: Monitor garment construction, fit consistency, and finishing standards, resolving technical and production issues swiftly.
- Inventory & Sales Alignment: Track stock levels, analyze sell-through performance across channels, and forecast replenishment needs in tandem with commercial goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of apparel/fashion merchandising experience in retail, D2C fashion, or garment manufacturing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, costing, and Time & Action (T&A) management. Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
- Core Competencies: Excellent negotiation skills, sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and clear cross-functional communication.
