POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for developing and maintaining business with BEL and other government or private sector customers by managing relationships, following up on RFQs and purchase orders, coordinating development activities, and ensuring timely customer communication to support repeat business and new opportunities.
KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs)
- Achieve regular customer engagement and maintain strong relationships with BEL departments and authorized personnel.
- Ensure timely follow-up and closure of RFQs, purchase orders, development activities, and pending customer approvals.
- Support growth in business revenue through continuous customer coordination and opportunity tracking.
- Ensure timely submission of quotations, technical documents, samples, and related customer requirements.
- Maintain effective coordination between customer requirements and internal factory operations.
- Support vendor registration, audit coordination, and documentation activities as required by customers.
- Provide timely market intelligence and updates regarding customer requirements, competitor activities, and upcoming opportunities.
- Ensure professional communication and quick response turnaround for all customer interactions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Relationship Management
- Daily customer visits to BEL and other assigned locations for coordination and relationship management.
- Build and maintain relationships with purchase, quality, production, stores, and vendor development teams.
- Customer follow-up: Ensure regular follow-up with authorized personnel for order conversion and business continuity.
- Manage customer communication through meetings, calls, emails, and follow-up reports.
Business Development & Sales Coordination
- Collect RFQs, coordinate quotations, and ensure timely submission.
- Track purchase orders, repeat orders, development approvals, and customer feedback.
- Opportunity identification: Identify upcoming business requirements and new development opportunities.
- Revenue support: Assist management in achieving sales and business growth targets.
- Competitor tracking: Monitor market activity and competitor movement within assigned accounts.
Customer Development & Documentation Coordination
- Coordinate sample submissions, trials, and development activities with internal teams.
- Technical documentation: Support submission of technical documents, test certificates, and compliance records.
- Vendor coordination: Assist in vendor registration, approval processes, and customer audit documentation.
- Inspection coordination: Coordinate customer visits, inspections, and audit requirements whenever required.
Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Purchase, Dispatch, and Management for smooth execution.
- Customer feedback management: Share customer concerns, feedback, and improvement requirements with internal teams.
- MIS reporting: Maintain daily visit reports, follow-up trackers, pending order status, and business development updates.
- Management support: Provide regular business updates and action plans to management.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Experience in industrial marketing or manufacturing business development is preferred.
- Exposure to defence, aerospace, aviation or biomedical customers is an advantage.
- Candidate should be comfortable with daily field visits and customer interaction.
- Two-wheeler preferred for local travel.
- Kannada, English, and Hindi communication preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
