Job Overview:
Delhi Public School Tajpur is seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher proficient in Vocal Music as well as multiple musical instruments. The teacher will be responsible for nurturing students’ musical talents, conducting vocal training, and teaching instruments such as Harmonium, Piano, Drum Set, Guitar, Tabla, and Dholak. The role also involves preparing students for school events, competitions, and cultural programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach vocal music (Indian and basic western styles) to students from primary to senior classes.
- Provide instrumental training in Harmonium, Piano, Drum Set, Guitar, Tabla, and Dholak.
- Prepare and guide students for school assemblies, annual functions, competitions, and cultural events.
- Develop students’ rhythm, pitch, stage confidence, and musical understanding.
- Organize choirs, music groups, and band performances.
- Maintain and ensure proper care of musical instruments and equipment.
- Encourage creativity and participation in music clubs and extracurricular activities.
- Coordinate with teachers and management for event performances and rehearsals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music (Vocal / Instrumental) from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in multiple instruments: Harmonium, Piano, Drum Set, Guitar, Tabla, and Dholak.
- Ability to train students in group singing, choir, and instrumental ensemble.
- Experience in preparing students for stage performances and competitions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with students of different age groups.
- Prior school teaching experience preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching or professional music experience preferred.
