Responsibilities
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites for clients.
- Install and configure themes, plugins, and required website functionalities.
- Create responsive, mobile-friendly website layouts.
- Customize existing WordPress websites based on client requirements.
- Optimize website performance, speed, and user experience.
- Troubleshoot website issues, bugs, and plugin conflicts.
- Implement basic SEO best practices during website development.
- Work closely with designers, content creators, and project managers.
- Test websites across multiple devices and browsers before launch.
- Assist in website migrations, backups, and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience building WordPress websites (academic, freelance, personal, or professional projects).
- Strong understanding of WordPress dashboard, themes, plugins, and page builders.
- Knowledge of Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar page builders.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot common WordPress issues independently.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript and PHP.
- Experience with website hosting, domains, DNS, and SSL setup.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals.
- Experience working with website optimization and security plugins.
