We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Yard Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service machinery, vehicles, and equipment used in the yard and production operations. The candidate should be able to identify mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure smooth functioning of all equipment to avoid operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair yard equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the operations team regarding equipment status.
- Maintain service and repair records.
- Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
- Assist in emergency repairs whenever required.
Requirements:
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant field preferred.
- Previous experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, welding, and mechanical systems is an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults.
- Physically fit and willing to work in yard conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
