Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with strong expertise in Conveyor Systems and Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical design, automation, metal fabrication, and machine development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Conveyor Systems and Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and manufacturing drawings.
- Develop machine layouts, assemblies, components, and fabrication drawings.
- Work on automated metal grafting/fabrication-related machinery and systems.
- Collaborate with production, fabrication, and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Modify and improve existing machine designs based on customer and production requirements.
- Prepare BOMs, technical documentation, and engineering specifications.
- Ensure designs meet required quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot design and fabrication issues and provide suitable engineering solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Conveyor Design and SPM Design.
- Good knowledge of:
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- Autodesk Inventor
- Must have practical experience in automated metal fabrication/grafting systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, welding, structures, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into detailed engineering designs.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience in Conveyors, SPM, Automation, or Industrial Machinery Design is mandatory.
