Job Title: Stores Manager – CNC Machine Manufacturing

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Stores Manager to lead inventory management, material planning, warehouse operations, and SAP-based stores activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control, timely material availability for production, effective warehouse management, and coordination across departments to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all inward, outward, storage, and inventory control activities for raw materials, bought-out components, tooling, consumables, and finished goods.
- Ensure timely receipt, verification, storage, and issue of materials as per company procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability to support uninterrupted production activities.
- Perform SAP-based inventory transactions, stock movements, goods receipts, material issues, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Planning, Quality, Dispatch, and Finance departments for efficient material flow.
- Conduct periodic stock audits, cycle counts, physical verification, and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement inventory optimization practices, FIFO/FEFO systems, and warehouse management best practices.
- Supervise stores personnel and ensure adherence to inventory control procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock registers, reports, and MIS.
- Ensure proper material identification, traceability, storage conditions, and housekeeping standards.
- Drive process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, material availability, and operational efficiency.
- Support internal audits, statutory audits, and management reviews related to inventory and stores operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / BE / BTech / BCom / MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related disciplines.
- 8–12 years of experience in Stores, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, or Material Management.
- Experience in CNC machine tools, engineering manufacturing, machine building, or industrial equipment industries is preferred.
- Prior experience leading stores teams and managing large inventories is desirable.
