Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager – Textile Industry (China Sourcing) to manage international sourcing, vendor development, negotiation, and procurement activities from China. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of textile/fabric markets, supplier handling, import processes, and cost-effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage end-to-end textile sourcing and purchasing activities from China.
· Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/manufacturers for fabrics and textile products.
· Coordinate with Chinese suppliers for product development, pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
· Negotiate prices, payment terms, and commercial conditions with vendors.
· Manage purchase orders, follow-ups, and ensure timely shipment.
· Monitor fabric quality, specifications, samples, and approvals.
· Coordinate with logistics and import teams for shipment planning and documentation.
· Maintain strong relationships with China-based suppliers and vendors.
· Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials, and trends.
· Control purchase costs and ensure best-value sourcing.
· Handle supplier performance evaluation and resolve quality/delivery issues.
· Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and MIS reports.
· Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and accounts teams for purchase planning.
Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of textile/fabric sourcing and procurement.
· Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers and manufacturers.
· Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
· Knowledge of import procedures, shipping terms (FOB/CIF), and documentation.
· Strong communication skills (English; Chinese language knowledge will be an advantage).
· Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
· Ability to manage multiple suppliers and timelines.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
· 5–10 years of experience in Textile Purchase / International Sourcing / Import Purchase.
· Experience working with China textile markets will be highly preferred.
· Candidates who have handled fabric, garments, textile trading, or manufacturing purchase will be preferred.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
