Key Responsibilities
- Material Receipt & Inspection: Verify incoming deliveries (cement, steel, bricks, etc.) against delivery notes and purchase orders to check for correct quantity, quality, and signs of damage.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate daily logs, bin cards, and inventory software to track stock levels. Generate Material Received Reports (MRR) upon delivery.
- Controlled Issuance: Issue materials, machinery, and safety equipment only upon receiving approved indents or requisitions from site engineers and supervisors.
- Stock Auditing: Conduct routine (daily/weekly/monthly) physical stock counts and reconcile them with recorded balances.
- Storage & Preservation: Organize materials logically. Ensure specialized materials (e.g., cement, chemicals, electronics) are stored in environments that prevent spoilage or deterioration (e.g., FIFO - First In, First Out).
- Security & Safety: Restrict unauthorized access to the storehouse. Ensure fire extinguishers and safety protocols are maintained.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Typically a High School Diploma or HSC, paired with 2–5 years of experience in civil/construction projects.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, inventory software) and the ability to understand construction materials and blueprints.
- Soft Skills: High level of honesty, strong organizational skills, and clear verbal communication to coordinate with procurement teams and engineers.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
