Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in PCB layout design and modification using CADSTAR.
- Convert customer design files into manufacturing-ready data.
- Generate and verify Gerber files, drill files, and fabrication documentation.
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and design validation activities.
- Maintain PCB component libraries and design databases.
- Review schematics and layout data for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with production, CAM, and quality teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Support engineering change requests and design updates.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.
- Ensure adherence to IPC standards and company quality procedures.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of PCB design concepts and electronic components.
- Familiarity with CADSTAR PCB Design Suite (preferred).
- Understanding of Gerber files, PCB stack-ups, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers with PCB design training or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of PCB design tools such as CADSTAR, Altium, Allegro, or PADS.
- Understanding of IPC standards and DFM guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of multilayer PCB design concepts.
