We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our development team and help build and enhance our next generation of software products.
This is a hands-on role suited to a developer who is comfortable working across both backend and frontend technologies and enjoys solving complex technical problems.
About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and APIs used in fleet management and vehicle tracking environments.
You will work across the full development lifecycle and collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality software.
The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience with Laravel, React, TypeScript, and modern web development, together with an interest in GPS tracking, telematics, IoT, or connected-vehicle technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable web applications using Laravel, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
Build and maintain high-quality REST APIs and backend services.
Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React and TypeScript.
Design efficient database structures, queries, and data access patterns.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Work with real-time and location-based data.
Develop features for fleet management, vehicle tracking, device management, and business
operations.
Work with mapping and geospatial functionality.
Develop and maintain authentication, authorization, roles, permissions, and security features.
Investigate and resolve complex technical and production issues.
Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Write clean, reusable, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.
Collaborate with other developers, product stakeholders, and technical team members.
Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making.
Help mentor less experienced developers where appropriate.
Participate in testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for a developer with strong commercial experience in full-stack web application development.
Essential
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience with PHP and Laravel.
Strong experience with React.
Strong knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript.
Strong experience with Tailwind CSS or similar modern CSS frameworks.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
Good experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
Strong understanding of frontend and backend architecture.
Experience building production-ready web applications.Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security.
Strong Git experience.
Experience with debugging, performance optimisation, and production troubleshooting.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks.
