We are looking for a Marketing Copywriter & Editor who can think strategically, understand brand and business objectives, and translate briefs into compelling, effective communication.
This role goes beyond content writing. The ideal candidate must be able to decode briefs, identify the real marketing objective, and craft copy that influences perception, builds brand value, and drives action. Writing exactly what is asked is not sufficient — the role demands interpretation, judgment, and refinement of the brief itself.
The candidate will work closely with marketing, design, and video teams to shape messaging across platforms and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Copywriting
- Develop marketing-led copy aligned with brand positioning and communication objectives
- Translate briefs into clear, persuasive messaging that serves a defined purpose (awareness, engagement, conversion, recall)
- Write copy across formats including:
- Brand and campaign narratives
- Website and landing page copy
- Social media campaigns and captions
- Launch communications and presentations
- Editorial-style brand stories with a marketing lens
2. Brief Interpretation & Marketing Thinking
- Analyse briefs to understand the underlying objective, target audience, and desired outcome
- Ask the right questions when briefs are unclear or incomplete
- Suggest alternative angles, messaging structures, or tones when required
- Ensure every piece of copy has intent, relevance, and direction
3. Editing & Copy Refinement
- Edit and rewrite existing copy to improve clarity, impact, flow, and effectiveness
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand voice across platforms
- Tighten copy without losing meaning or nuance
- Elevate average drafts into strong, polished communication
4. Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with designers, video editors, and marketing teams during concept and execution stages
- Provide copy inputs during ideation, not just at the execution stage
- Manage feedback, revisions, and deadlines efficiently
- Maintain quality under tight timelines without compromising intent
5. Use of AI & Tools (Supportive, Not Substitutive)
- Use AI tools for research, ideation, or first-draft support where relevant
- Apply human judgment to refine, rewrite, and contextualise AI-assisted outputs
- Ensure all final copy reflects original thinking, brand understanding, and strategic clarity
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
