Our organization is accelerating its digital transformation to deliver an integrated, global digital system for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector. A critical part of this journey involves leveraging the AVEVA engineering design suite to its fullest potential.
We are seeking a highly hands-on Aveva Technical Solution Lead to spearhead the creation of custom features, integration of third party systems and technical solutions within the AVEVA ecosystem. Working closely with Product Managers, this role requires a strong solution and product mindset to build, troubleshoot, and maintain Aveva-developed code using the Aveva SDK. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical programming expertise with a solid understanding of the EPC industry to deliver robust, scalable features that drive our digital engineering capabilities forward.
1. Hands-on Feature Development
• Act as the primary technical solution lead and developer for new enhancement and extending the AVEVA suite of products using AVEVA SDKs, C#, .NET, and PML.
• Design, write, test, and deploy high-quality, maintainable code to create new features that directly support complex EPC workflows and provide UAT support to Business teams .
• Work for the integration with third party products like Aspen Tech, SAP and develop integration touch points.
• Ensure all custom development aligns with the overarching architecture, security protocols, and software factory standards.
2. Troubleshooting and Code Maintenance
• Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues within both existing and newly developed AVEVA SDK code.
• Perform root cause analysis on technical incidents related to Aveva Custom components and implement sustainable, long-term fixes to ensure operational stability.
• Conduct custom or Aveva SDK and component code reviews, optimize system performance, and establish technical best practices for AVEVA customizations.
3. Product Collaboration & Solution Design
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Product Experts to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
• Provide technical support in technical analysis related to Data migration, scripting and automations working closely with Product Managers and Product Experts
• Apply a strong "product mindset" to technical problem-solving—focusing on scalable, reusable solutions rather than one-off custom scripts.
• Actively participate in agile development cycles and advise the Product Manager on technical feasibility and effort estimations.
4. EPC Industry Alignment
• Leverage a strong understanding of the EPC industry to design solutions that accurately reflect the realities of engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Ensure that the features developed enhance the "Digital Thread," seamlessly connecting engineering data across the asset lifecycle.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on development experience specifically tailored to the AVEVA suite (e.g., Aveva Unified engineering, Aveva AIM , etc.) using AVEVA SDKs, .NET, C#, and PML.
• EPC Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry, including its specific data models, workflows, and asset lifecycles.
• Troubleshooting Prowess: Proven track record of successfully debugging, reverse-engineering, and maintaining complex custom-developed code within enterprise engineering systems.
• Product Mindset: Strong ability to think in terms of scalable solutions and overarching products; experience working collaboratively alongside Product Managers in an Agile environment.
• Technical Leadership: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to lead code quality initiatives, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between business needs and deep technical execution.
• Experience Level: 7+ years of hands-on software engineering and development experience within the plant design or EPC software ecosystem.
• Nice to have knowledge: end-to-end integration to other EPC tools such as Tekla, Solidworks, Aspen Tech
