Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Architect with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing architectural drawings, coordinating with project teams, supporting project execution, and ensuring that designs are implemented accurately on-site. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, and construction documents.
- Develop 2D and 3D architectural models using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and project engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings.
- Review shop drawings and resolve architectural design issues during project execution.
- Prepare material schedules, quantity take-offs, and project documentation.
- Assist in project planning, design revisions, and coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors as required.
- Maintain accurate project records, drawings, and documentation.
- Support project managers in delivering projects within scheduled timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Architecture (D.Arch) or Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in architectural design and construction projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial building projects is preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or BIM software.
- Experience with Lumion, Enscape, or other rendering software is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, detailing, and building materials.
- Understanding of building construction methods and site execution.
- Familiarity with local building codes, approval processes, and construction standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to construction sites as required.
