About the Role
Penerbitan Jaya Bakti Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia, is looking for a freelance Graphic Designer to support the development of children's educational books, textbooks, workbooks, magazines, and learning materials.
This position is suitable for designers who are experienced in educational publishing and can independently handle both page layout and image creation.
Responsibilities
- Design and layout textbooks, workbooks, magazines, and educational materials.
- Create and regenerate illustrations based on project requirements.
- Generate original images using AI tools and further edit them to meet publishing standards.
- Modify and improve existing artwork when required.
- Ensure consistency of characters, uniforms, colours, and illustration styles throughout the project.
- Prepare print-ready files.
- Carry out corrections and revisions efficiently.
- Meet agreed project deadlines.
Required Skills
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Photoshop
- AI image generation tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, etc.)
Requirements
- Experience in creating books, textbooks, workbooks, magazines, or educational publishing.
- Ability to generate illustrations independently.
- Strong understanding of layout design and print production.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted illustration workflows.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow design guidelines.
- Tamil language knowledge is preferred.
- Able to work remotely and communicate regularly during the project period.
