Sharma Enterprises is an engineering and manufacturing organisation specialising in the design and production of mechanical components, assemblies, defence-related parts and customised industrial solutions.
We are looking for motivated Mechanical Design Engineers who are eager to apply their technical skills, collaborate with manufacturing teams and contribute to product-development and continuous-improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare detailed component drawings with accurate dimensions and tolerances.
- Support reverse-engineering activities through component measurement, CAD modelling and technical documentation.
- Create, update and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawing registers and engineering records.
- Assist in new product development, design modifications and drawing-release activities.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure the effective implementation of designs.
- Support prototype development, testing and design-validation activities.
- Resolve design- and drawing-related issues arising during manufacturing.
- Participate in value engineering, cost optimisation and continuous-improvement projects.
- Ensure that drawings and technical documents comply with established engineering and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and drafting software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA or similar tools.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, fits and BOM preparation.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and convert requirements into practical designs.
- Good problem-solving, documentation and coordination skills.
- Experience in reverse engineering, defence-related components or manufacturing will be an advantage.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should:
- Have 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design, product development or a related field.
- Possess practical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Be comfortable coordinating with production and quality teams.
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail while preparing drawings and documentation.
- Be willing to learn, take ownership of design assignments and work effectively within a team.
- Be available to work on-site in Bhosari, Pune.
