Experience: 4–8 Years (Industrial / Commercial / IT Project
Key Responsibilities – Tendering & Estimation
- Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, and tender documents for ELV systems including:
o Structured cabling (LAN, WAN, FO)
o BMS (Building Management System)
o CCTV & surveillance systems
o Server room & data center infrastructure
- Study tender drawings, specifications, and scope documents in detail
- Prepare system architecture understanding and scope definition
- Floating enquiries to OEMs, system integrators, and vendors
- Perform techno-commercial comparison and finalize best offers
- Rate analysis for:
o Active & passive networking components
o BMS controllers, sensors, actuators
o CCTV cameras, NVRs, storage devices
o Racks, servers, switches, firewalls, accessories
- Prepare scope matrix, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and deviations
- Support pre-bid meetings and client technical discussions
System Knowledge Requirements
Networking & Structured Cabling
- Copper & fiber cabling (Cat-6 / Cat-6A / FO)
- Rack layouts, patch panels, switches, routing
- Server room design basics (hot/cold aisle concept)
BMS
- Understanding of HVAC, electrical, firefighting integration
- BMS points list, I/O summary
- Coordination with OEMs & integrators
CCTV & Surveillance
- Camera selection (IP / PTZ / Dome / Bullet)
- Coverage concept & storage calculations
- Integration with access control (basic knowledge)
Server / Data Center (Basic to Intermediate)
- Server rack planning
- UPS coordination
- Cooling & power coordination (with HVAC & Electrical teams)
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, firefighting, IT & civil teams
- Prepare technical submissions, compliance statements, and datasheets
- Support management during tender negotiations and finalization
Skills & Technical Requirements
- Strong understanding of ELV tendering & estimation
- Proficiency in Excel for BOQs & cost analysis
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawings (reading & coordination)
- Ability to handle multiple tenders under tight timelines
- Good communication & vendor-handling skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BE / BTech / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / IT / Instrumentation
- Experience in factories, offices, IT parks, data centers
- OEM exposure (Cisco, HP, Schneider, Honeywell, Siemens, Bosch, Hikvision, etc.) is an advantage
