Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Support Engineer -Solar to oversee technical operations and provide robust support for our solar solutions for our company based in Australia. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between cross functional teams, manufacturers, and customers to resolve issues, enhance product performance, and drive overall customer satisfaction. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Location: Remote based work - Blended process/Voice based
Key Responsibilities:Technical Support & Issue Resolution:
- Act as the primary contact for technical queries, resolving product-related challenges.
- Hands-on knowledge of grid-tied and hybrid inverters, battery storage (LFP/lithium systems), monitoring platforms, fault diagnosis, and remote troubleshooting.
- Overall electrical design of solar projects including calculations, modelling
- Production of technical documentation and reporting as required
- Reviewing technical reports
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide timely solutions to internal teams and external customers.
- Maintain a knowledge base of technical issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interact with the installers, coordinate and provide the necessary support during the installations.
Manufacturer & Vendor Liaison:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Communicate technical requirements, feedback, and issues to manufacturers for prompt resolution.
Team Training & Enablement:
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for sales, procurement, customer service, and any other operations teams.
- Provide technical insights during the design and selection phases of new solar products.
Customer Engagement & Product Support:
- Address customer queries via phone, email, or other communication channels if needed.
- Support sales teams by providing technical input during pre-sales discussions.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure compatibility and compliance of all products.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Produce and review technical process documents, reports, troubleshooting guidelines and training materials etc .
- Monitor and report on the performance of products and technical support services.
General Leadership & Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of proactive problem-solving and technical excellence within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company in technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the new technologies and best practices in the solar energy sector.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Experience Level:
- 2–6 years in technical support, field application engineering, or service engineering within solar/storage.
- Proven expertise in solar PV systems, inverters, and energy storage solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in relevant softwares, ideally Homer, AutoCAD and PVSyst or similar.
Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is essential.
- Experience supporting international customers (Australia, US, EU) by phone, email, and ticketing systems.

Workweek: Monday to Friday, 6:30AM 3:30 PM (IST)and Saturday 8:30 AM 2:30PM (IST)
- Remote Work Necessitates the following:
- Possess a functional Laptop/Desktop to work
- A strong internet connection and a reliable power back up to prevent work disruptions.
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
