Role description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Client Service Manager owns a portfolio of accounts end to end, holding the relationship on one side and the delivery commitment on the other.
Much of our client base is promoter-led: manufacturers, agri-input businesses and family-run enterprises where the founder is the decision maker. These relationships are built on being straight about what is working, what is not, and what happens next. The manager who does this well is trusted with more of the business; the one who manages by reassurance loses the account slowly.
The role carries commercial responsibility alongside delivery. You will support scoping and estimates, defend the value of the work in pricing conversations, hold the line on scope, and lead renewal discussions. You will work alongside the design, copy, paid media and web teams, and report to the Founder.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Account ownership. Own the relationship and commercial health of six to ten accounts, from onboarding through renewal
- Briefing. Convert client requirements into internal briefs that design, copy and paid media can act on without a second conversation
- Delivery control. Track every deliverable, deadline and approval across accounts, and escalate before a deadline slips rather than after
- Client counsel. Run review meetings, present work and results, and give clients a recommendation rather than a menu of options
- Scope and commercials. Support scoping, estimates and proposals, manage revision rounds, and raise change orders when work moves outside the agreed brief
- Circulate meeting minutes and action points within twenty-four hours and follow each one through to closure
- Present campaign and website performance in language a promoter understands, connecting activity to business outcomes
- Identify growth within existing accounts and build the case for it internally and with the client
- Coordinate billing cycles with the accounts team and support collections where a relationship conversation is needed
- Maintain account documentation, including briefs, approvals, asset libraries and scope records
- Mentor executives on the team and set the standard for how client communication is handled
Must-haves
- Minimum 3 years of experience in client servicing or account management, ideally at a marketing, branding or advertising agency
- A track record of owning client relationships directly, not supporting someone else who owned them
- Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi and English, with the ability to move between them in the same meeting
- Confidence holding a room with a founder or promoter, including when the news is not good
- Ability to write a brief that a creative team can execute against without further clarification
- Working understanding of design, content and paid media processes, enough to brief, review and challenge intelligently
- Disciplined organisation across concurrent accounts, with nothing tracked only in memory
- Based in Ahmedabad, or willing to relocate
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to manufacturing, agri-input, FMCG or B2B industrial clients
- Experience managing international accounts across time zones
- Familiarity with a project management tool such as Notion, Asana or ClickUp
- Experience contributing to proposals, pitches or new business conversations
- Prior experience mentoring or managing junior team members
Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
