We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Planning Lead for the delivery of high-profile fit-out projects across South India. Based in Trivandrum, this role will be pivotal in managing fast-paced, project environments, ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will oversee site operations, coordinate supply chains, and lead multidisciplinary teams from project inception to handover.
You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The role often requires 3–7 years of experience in interior, architectural, or construction environments, specializing in high-end residential, retail, or commercial fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Overseeing projects from initial design concept through to final site installation.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Acting as the main point of contact, managing expectations, and coordinating between designers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Planning & Scheduling: Creating detailed project timelines and Gantt charts to track milestones.
- Budget & Procurement: Managing budgets, procurement of materials, and conducting site visits along with Project Execution Leads
- Creation and distribution of all project records including execution plans, budgets, time frames, programmes and monthly overview reports;
- Management of project financial performance including the overall project financial performance relative to the agreed fee; weekly monitoring of labour charge & staff resourcing; and monthly invoicing.
- Manage project budgets, variations and commercial performance
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to meet fast-track programmes
- Oversee quality of finishes and detail, ensuring high standards are consistently achieved
- Coordinate works in live environments, minimising disruption to client operations
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements
- Provide regular progress updates and proactively resolve issues
What We’re Looking For in our Project Planning Lead:
- Proven experience delivering residential & commercial fit-out / refurbishment projects
- Strong understanding of finishes, sequencing and programme-driven delivery
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously
