Job Summary:
The Iron & Pressman is responsible for pressing and finishing garments to ensure they meet quality standards before packing and dispatch. The role involves operating steam irons and pressing equipment, removing wrinkles, maintaining garment shape, and ensuring a neat, professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Press garments according to style and quality requirements.
- Operate steam irons, vacuum tables, and pressing machines safely.
- Check garments for stains, defects, loose threads, or damage before and after pressing.
- Maintain correct temperature and pressure settings for different fabrics.
- Ensure garments retain proper shape, measurements, and finish.
- Fold and prepare garments for packing as per company standards.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality.
- Keep ironing and pressing equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Report machine malfunctions or garment defects to the supervisor.
- Follow workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of different fabric types and their pressing requirements.
- Ability to operate industrial steam irons and pressing equipment.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Basic education preferred.
- Experience in garment ironing/pressing is preferred.
- Freshers may be considered with proper training.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
