About the role
Trigobake is a B2B bakery business supplying baked goods to retail and QSR outlets. We're hiring a junior accountant to own day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, and compliance support, working closely with our external CA firm.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Record daily sales, purchase, and expense entries in Tally
- Perform bank reconciliation on a weekly basis
- Maintain vendor and customer ledgers; chase and log outstanding receivables/payables
Invoicing
- Prepare outlet-wise sales invoices based on daily/weekly order sheets
- Match invoice quantities against stock records before dispatch
- Flag discrepancies (short supply, rate mismatches, returns) before invoice finalisation
GST
- Compile monthly purchase and sales data for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B
- Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase register before filing
- Coordinate with the CA to resolve input tax credit mismatches
TDS
- Calculate and deduct TDS on applicable payments (e.g., rent under Section 194-I)
- Ensure monthly TDS deposit before the 7th of the following month
- Prepare data for quarterly TDS return (Form 26Q) and coordinate filing with the CA
- Download and file Form 16A certificates from TRACES
Payroll
- Compute monthly salary for staff based on attendance registers
- Track PF/ESI deductions if applicable and ensure timely deposit
- Maintain payroll records and generate payslips
Year-end / Compliance
- Prepare trial balance and supporting schedules for annual financial statements
- Assist the CA with data requests for statutory audit and ROC filings
- Maintain organized records of invoices, TDS challans, and GST filings for audit readiness
Requirements
- B.Com or equivalent; 1–3 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Working knowledge of Tally (Tally Prime preferred)
- Practical understanding of GST return cycles and TDS compliance (194-I, 26Q, Form 16A)
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic reconciliation)
- High attention to detail — this role involves high-frequency, multi-outlet invoicing
Nice to have
- Exposure to payroll processing for small teams
- Telugu communication is a plus
