For our Marketing Division, we are looking for an Application Engineer who will be responsible for assisting the sales team in the promotion of products and services pertaining to our safety division within a designated market. - Preferred Experience: 2-3 Years in sales of Gas & Flame Detection and safety Products, in B2B markets.
- Preferred Education: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Job Accountabilities
- Manage the Safety Products Portfolio, including products and services from 3M, Scott Safety, Ansell, Teledyne, Oldham, and Industrial Scientific.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities within the territory.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide hands-on training to clients as required. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, timely delivery, and excellent customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings. Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to potential clients.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on sales activities, market trends, and client feedback.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and marketing materials.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the company’s presence and identify potential leads.
- Resolve any client issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay informed about regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to safety products.
Preferred Skill Sets
- Experience in Gas Detection, Industrial Safety, Instrumentation or related products will be preferred.
- Experience with customers in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical or Process Industries is strongly preferred.
- Have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills, consultative approach to working with marketing and client service professionals at all levels.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales
process.
- Prepare sales plans using company tools. Performs regular performance reviews and propose recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
- Create value for the customer and Innovative and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
- Communicate details in accordance with Innovative offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
- Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
- Manage administrative procedures in sales processes, and support collection and project management activities when needed.
- Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
