Executive-Supplier Quality Assurance
Job Summary
Responsible for supporting supplier quality activities to ensure incoming components meet required quality standards in a high-mix, low-volume machine tool manufacturing environment. The role involves working closely with suppliers, internal QA, and engineering teams to ensure first-time-right quality, proper inspection reporting, and smooth assembly integration.
Key Job Responsibilities
Review supplier inspection reports for completeness and correctness
Verify part compliance against drawings, tolerances, and revision levels
Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and prototype validation
Identify and track CTQs (Critical to Quality features)
Assist in supplier audits and capability assessments
Raise and track supplier non-conformances (NCRs)
Support root cause analysis (8D / 5-Why) for quality issues
Maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation in central system
Coordinate with incoming QA and assembly teams for fitment issues
Follow up with suppliers for corrective actions and report submission
Key KPI include - Accuracy and completeness of report review, Timely closure of supplier NCRs, FAI approval without major issues, Reduction in incoming rejection / assembly issues.
Education & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree or above in mechanical engineering or related major.
Experience in Quality / Manufacturing (freshers with strong fundamentals can be considered)
Exposure to machine tools / fabrication / machining preferred
Good command of English, oral and written included.
Information Technology skills – MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PPT, SAP), Industrial automation information technology software (PLC , HMI, Automatic and monitoring configuration software, AutoCAD, )
Good communication skills
